BISHOP GORMAN 63, REDONDO 58 >> Redondo lost a tight game in Las Vegas in the second round of the Tarkanian Classic to tournament host Bishop Gorman. Morgan Means had 20 points, six assists and seven rebounds for Redondo in the loss. The Sea Hawks will play Prestonwood (Texas) on Friday for a chance to advance to the fifth-place game in the Platinum bracket.
WESTCHESTER 59, DESERT PINES 45 >> Westchester rebounded from a first-round loss at the Tarkanian Classic to win in the Platinum bracket consolation draw. The Comets face O’Connell (Virgina) on Friday for a chance to advance to the consolation championship.
NARBONNE 89, CARSON 47 >> D’mauria Jones led Narbonne to a rout of Carson with 17 points and eight assists. Lance Pugh had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Gauchos (3-2), and Jeremiah Galang chipped in with 13 points, nine coming from beyond the arc.
TORRANCE 50, PENINSULA 48 >> Torrance edged out Peninsula on the road behind 20 points from Giovanni Jackson. Justin Hino had seven points for the Tartars (7-3), who are on a four-game winning streak. Peninsula’s Mickey Babek reached the 1,000 career points mark in the loss.
