MARY STAR 50, ST. PIUS-MATHIAS 28 >> Angela Pisano’s 17 points paced Mary Star to a dominating win over St. Pius-Mathias in the Santa Fe League opener. Pisano also added five steals in a good defensive effort from the Stars, who outscored St. Pius-Mathias 16-5 in the second quarter. Jillian Duran had eight points, two rebounds and three steals. Adriana Espinoza had six points and six rebounds for Mary Star.
