Peninsula topped La Jolla Country Day and Corona Del Mar on Friday in the CIF State Southern California Regionals to set up a showdown in the finals with undefeated Torrey Pines today at 1 p.m. at the Claremont Club.
In JC men’s basketball, Harbor hit the road and beat L.A. Valley, 81-70. Elliott Morris led the way with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Shane Smith had 12 points and four steals and Aubrey Myers had 10 points for Harbor (2-0).
Host El Camino lost in its El Camino Tournament of Champions to Sequoias, 66-55. Christopher Munoz had 13 points and Derrick Twiggs has 12 to lead El Camino (2-2).
