El Camino College women’s basketball team on a roll

The South Bay’s hottest JC basketball team?
That honor goes to the El Camino women.
El Camino (16-4) is ranked sixth in Southern California and ninth in the state. The Warriors (4-0 in conference) are in first place in the South Coast Conference’s South Division, a game ahead of Cerritos (3-1).
Shontalene Trudeau is averaging 12.8 points and eight rebounds a game and Sydney Chase is averaging 11.4 points a game. Point guard Nisja Bass averages 8.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game for El Camino, which is slated to host L.A. Trade Tech on Friday at 5 p.m. in a conference tilt.
El Camino has won six in a row.
